Since sharing my initial assessment checklist, I've decided made a few modifications to my questions. I realized I misunderstood the impact and purpose of this checklist and was able to brainstorm with my professor to refocus my questions.
My new questions include:
1. Does this assessment measure genuine student understanding?
2. Does this assessment allow for teachers to provide constructive feedback to students?
3. Does this assessment inform instruction?
4. Does this assessment offer (an) opportunity for students to learn from each other?
5. Is this an equitable assessment for learning?
I've taken advantage of Michigan State University's online library to find more studies supporting my exploration in criteria as I develop my final assessment design checklist. I'm eager to continue learning, reading and exploring what component make the list to include as I evaluate and develop assessments! #CEP813 #MAET
