Over the course of the year I have developed numerous engaging and creative lessons through Lucy Calkin's Reading Pathways Units. These lessons include read alouds Tiger Rising, Everything Weather, Poetry, and Number the Stars.
Students had the opportunity to write narratives, informational, and opinion writing. Historical fiction was a unit we focused on a lot in fourth grade writing in first and third person.
