Goal: Understand and feel comfortable integrating engaging, educational, and catchy hip-hop songs (and videos) in your instruction to transform your classroom.
The WHY behind Flocabulary
There are many reasons I recommend Flocabulary. I've had my years with BrainPop and will always love my Bill Nye the Science Guy videos, but with Flocabulary, the lesson just hits different with middle school kids. The lessons are relevant and tunes are catchy. Not every unit you're teaching will have a Flocabulary video and lesson sequence, but when it does, take advantage and give it a go with your kids! Here are my top 3 reasons to give Flocabulary's educational hip-hop videos a try in your classroom this week.

Check out this super awesome resource for exploring new materials Flocabulary offers that you might not have used, yet. This is a support tool for both students AND teachers with lessons on mindfulness, teacher training, and making sure to keep things relevant.
If you're like me and have some experience with including a few of the short Flocabulary videos into instruction, I suggest looking more into Flocabulary's YouTube channel. They have so many short videos to add into your lesson, or, to differentiate for a mini lesson, too!
Once you find a lesson, explore the Lesson's Sequence: video --> vocab cards --> vocab game --> read & respond --> quiz. Learn more about the importance and purpose to each section of Flocabulary lessons here.
